Aerosoft’s Flight Calculator 1.3 is a software application for Microsoft Flight Simulator X users and FS2004 users to enable them to calculate flight planning, route estimations, and fuel usage and during their virtual reality flights.

The flight calculator can be linked to FS to retrieve date that would otherwise have to be entered manually via FSUIPC. This ensures accuracy and saves users time. A standalone product, Flight Calculator 1.3 does not need to be started from within FS. Has a low system requirement and runs on top of FS in semi transparent mode. A downloadable PDF Users Manual is available from the products site. Functions are easy to find, and the interface has 6 skins provided giving users the look they require.

Flight Calculator 1.3 can calculate time, speed and distances, wind directions, weight and balance, airspeed and altitude, runway lengths required and will even calculate conversions for you. Flight Calculator also features 8 memory locations that are stored between sessions. The interface of Flight Calculator 1.3 has four top realistic buttons for on/off, a mode button, a page up/down function for ease of use. It has a large screen with 10 buttons to the left that are used to get all data from FS2004, select lines, and compute the calculation entered. The screen has a scratch pad feature too.

Beneath the screen are the standard function calculator keys that all users will be familiar with for everyday calculations, but there are five keys on the left hand side that give you the extra features of conversion hotkeys, memory keys, a clear key and a back space key. This extra application for flight simulation enthusiasts will give them an easier and quicker way to find out where they are and where to go than their GPS navigation in their flight simulator can give them. It’s also an easier way for them to carry out fuel estimations at times when they need to change altitudes, for example, instead of using their Flight Management System.
